The purpose of Absolute Limos’ Health and Safety Policy is to ensure that our internal controls and corporate governance processes support the provision of a safe and healthy working environment. This policy aligns with statutory and industry standard compliance obligations, ensuring the safety and well-being of all stakeholders associated with our operations.

Scope & Objectives

This policy applies to Absolute Limos’ Directors, Management Team, Staff, Contractors, and all activities carried out by the company.

The principal objectives of this policy are:

  1. Define Responsibilities: To clearly set out the distinct responsibilities of Absolute Limos and its contractors, establishing a shared commitment to health and safety across all operations.

  2. Protect Employees, Customers, and the Public: To implement effective measures that safeguard our employees, customers, and the public from risks of injury, accidents, or poor health arising from our services and operations.

  3. Promote Continuous Improvement: To foster a culture of continuous improvement in our health and safety processes and performance. At Absolute Limos, we believe there is always room for improvement in our health and safety practices.

Policy Statement

Absolute Limos is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for its employees, contractors, customers, and any persons interacting with our services. We are dedicated to ensuring that our customers, communities, and visitors experience safe and secure journeys supported by responsible company behaviour.

To achieve a safe and healthy working environment, management will ensure the following:

  • Health and Safety Objectives: Health and safety objectives and performance criteria will be set for all managers and work areas to ensure a thorough understanding of health and safety management relevant to their positions.

  • Annual Review: We will conduct an annual review of health and safety objectives and managers’ performance to ensure ongoing effectiveness.

  • Incident Management: Accurate and timely reporting, recording, and investigation of all workplace incidents, accidents, and injuries will be enforced to prevent reoccurrence.

  • Employee Support and Rehabilitation: A treatment and rehabilitation plan will be provided for injured employees, ensuring a safe, early, and sustainable return to work.

  • Hazard Identification and Control: All existing and potential hazards in the workplace will be identified, assessed, and controlled to protect employees and clients.

  • Employee Awareness and Training: All employees will be informed of the hazards in their work area and will receive adequate training to perform their duties safely.

  • Continuous Improvement: We promote a system of continuous improvement, including an annual review of health and safety policies and procedures.

  • Compliance with Legislation: Absolute Limos will meet its obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2005, along with other relevant legislation, standards, codes of practice, and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all individuals at work.

Responsibilities

  • Managers’ Responsibilities: Managers will collaborate with employees to ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate in health and safety processes. Managers will promptly address all health and safety concerns raised.

  • Employees’ Responsibilities: Employees are required to take all practical steps to ensure their own safety and the safety of others. They are encouraged to be actively involved in assisting management in maintaining a healthy and safe workplace. Employees must cooperate by reporting hazards, incidents, and near-misses to their line managers.

Health and Safety Management Process

The process used to manage health and safety within Absolute Limos is aligned with our company values of Reliability, Respect, and Professionalism. Compliance with the Absolute Limos Health and Safety Management process is mandatory and is outlined in our Health and Safety Manual.
